on the journey through life
Julie and Keith provide transformative, facilitated experiences for individuals, couples, and groups.
Dr. Dunnwald is a licensed, independent clinical social worker (LICSW) and organizational psychologist who provides trauma-informed counseling services that address a variety of concerns, including personal, relationship, family, and grief and loss. She understands that each person's journey is unique and believes in the resiliency of the human spirit to transcend and transform personal challenges.
As an intuitive, Dr. Dunnwald incorporates a variety of practices including bodywork, meditation, and breathwork to facilitate her clients' connection to their own truth and inner wisdom. Dr. Dunnwald recognizes that nature and plant medicine hold immense healing power, and that ancient traditions offer valuable insights into how we can live more fulfilling and authentic lives.
In 2006, Julie embarked on a plant medicine journey, feeling a deep calling to study ayahuasca in Peru, which sparked her intuitive healing abilities with entheogens. Since that transformative experience, she has continued to broaden her understanding through the exploration of various plant medicines and the ancient traditions that revere their wisdom. Julie's devotion to learning from Sharon Sundine, the founder of Living Roots Connection, spans nearly 25 years, providing her with insights into the profound transformative potential of nature and plant medicine.
Since 2017, Julie also has been studying with Armand Bytton who is a direct descendant and wisdom-keeper of two ancient lineages of Amazonian psychocartographers. Through her mentorship with Armand, Julie has gained valuable insights into the traditional healing practices of these lineages and has deepened her understanding of the ways in which nature can be used to support healing and personal growth.
Julie is an experienced facilitator with a diverse skill set, specializing in trauma healing and personal transformation. She offers expert support in psychedelic preparation and integration, creating a safe and supportive space for profound healing. With a deep passion for sacred ceremony, neuroscience, and evidence-based healing practices, Julie is committed to guiding individuals toward balance and wholeness—helping them reconnect with their mind, body, and spirit through intentional and meaningful journeys.
Dr. Dunnwald has a master’s degree in social work from the University of Iowa and a doctoral degree in Organizational Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology.
Whether you are looking to deepen your spiritual practice or connect with the healing power of nature, Julie invites you to join her on a journey of discovery and growth.
“Beauty — that which exults the mind and spirit; the light force that infuses our heart with energy and wisdom.”
- Sharon Sundine
